Beside these simple adverbs there are derived adverbs. They can be derived from a adjective or, more seldom, from a noun.

Derived adverbs |
| |
from a adjective |
| |
Luckily nothing bad happened. |
| |
Unfortunately he did not tell me. |
| |
from a noun |
| |
He behaved bloody stupid. |
| |
He drank bucketfuls of wine. |

This system is not productive, which means that new words can not easily be created. Either a word already exists and is to be found in a dictionary, or it does not exist. Here, there is no difference between simple and derived adverbs.
