  15.3.1.1 Use of participe passé substituting conditional clauses
The participe passé can - as also the English perfect participle - substitute a conditional clause..

  Example
Chantée par des enfants, c' est une chanson jolie.
  Sung by the children, it is a nice song.

Here, all three types of conditional clauses can be formed:

  Realis of the present
Préparé par quelqu' un qui sait le faire, c'est délicieux.
    Prepared by someone, who knows how to do it, it is delicious.
  Si c'est préparé par quelqu' un qui sait le faire, c'est délicieux.
    If someone, who knows how to do it, prepares it, it is delicious.
  Irrealis of the present
  Préparé par quelqu' un qui saurait le faire, ce serait délicieux.
    Prepared by someone, who knew how to do it, it would be delicious.
  Si c' était préparé par quelqu' un qui saurait le faire, ce serait délicieux.
    If someone, who knew how to do it, prepared it, it would be delicious.
  Irrealis of the past
  Préparé par quelqu' un qui sait le faire, ça aurait été délicieux.
    Prepared by someone, who knows how to do it, it would have been delicious.
  Si c' était préparé par quelqu' un qui sait le faire, ça aurait été délicieux.
    If someone, who knows how to do it, had prepared it, it would have been delicious.
